70V or 25V — Which System Is It For?
The built-in transformer allows the SPE86T to be used with compatible 70V or 25V distributed audio amplifiers. Always use the transformer connection that matches the amplifier's actual speaker-line voltage.
Choose the Speaker Tap for the Space
The SPE86T provides five transformer power settings. Lower settings reduce the amplifier load and are useful for quieter areas, while higher settings provide more output where additional sound level is needed.

Simple Amplifier Load Planning
For a 70V or 25V distributed system, add together the selected wattage tap of every connected speaker.
Choose a compatible commercial amplifier with capacity above the total connected speaker-tap load. Leave suitable amplifier headroom rather than operating continuously at maximum rated output.
Round-Grille Ceiling Design
The SPE86T uses a traditional round white ceiling grille, making it a straightforward replacement or new-install option where a classic commercial ceiling-speaker appearance is preferred.
The published outside diameter is approximately 12.9 inches. This measurement is the overall outside size—not the ceiling cutout. Confirm the required opening and mounting arrangement before cutting the ceiling.
