Control Each Zone Separately Select the music source, volume and sound settings for each room without changing the other zones.
Adjust the Volume in Each Zone Keep the kitchen quieter, turn up the patio or switch off a room without affecting the rest of the system.
Play the Same Music Everywhere Group two, three or all four zones for synchronized music throughout the property.
Play Different Music in Different Rooms Each zone has its own built-in network streamer, allowing up to four compatible music streams at the same time.
Connect Indoor and Outdoor Speakers Use compatible indoor ceiling speakers in one zone and passive outdoor patio speakers in another.

One Amplifier, Four Different Areas
Each zone works like a separate audio system. The following example shows how the RX84 can manage indoor and outdoor speakers at the same time.

How the RX84 Multi-Room System Works
1 Connect the Network Connect the RX84 to your router or network switch using an Ethernet cable.
2 Connect the Speakers Connect compatible passive speakers to the required room or zone outputs.
3 Connect Your Device Connect the controlling phone, tablet or computer to the same network.
4 Name and Control Zones Name each room, choose its music source and adjust the required volume.
Network Recommendation A wired Ethernet connection from the RX84 to the router or network switch is recommended for dependable multi-zone streaming.

Important Speaker Connection Notice The RX84 is designed for compatible low-impedance passive speakers. Do not connect a standard 70V or 100V distributed speaker line directly to the RX84 outputs. Confirm speaker impedance, quantity, wiring and amplifier load before powering the system.
