Dual-Zone Pendant Speaker System for Open Ceilings
QX200 Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Audio System with 4 Pendant Speakers
Bring clear background music to two open-ceiling areas with this complete TEXONIC audio package. It includes one QX200 dual-zone network streaming amplifier and four PX50 two-way pendant speakers.
Install two pendant speakers in Zone 1 and two in Zone 2. Both areas play the same selected source, while separate zone-volume controls let you set a suitable listening level for each space.
Designed for Open and Exposed Ceilings
Pendant speakers suspend below the ceiling structure, bringing the sound closer to customers, staff and other listeners. They are a practical alternative where recessed ceiling speakers cannot be used.

Two Zones with Separate Volume Control
Zone 1: One left and one right PX50 pendant speaker
Zone 2: One left and one right PX50 pendant speaker
Both zones play the same selected audio source. Each zone has its own front-panel volume control, allowing the sound level to match the size, activity and background noise of each area.
- Maintain one consistent playlist across both areas.
- Use a higher volume in a busy customer or sales area.
- Keep a lower level in an office, lounge or quieter area.
- Reduce the volume in an unused zone without changing the other zone.
Important: This is a shared-source system. Zone 1 and Zone 2 cannot play different songs independently.
Correct PX50 Connection to the QX200
Connect one PX50 pendant speaker to each QX200 amplifier channel. Each speaker must be configured for 8-ohm low-impedance operation.
Zone 1: Connect 1 × PX50 speaker set to 8Ω to each left and right output.
Zone 2: Connect 1 × PX50 speaker set to 8Ω to each left and right output.
Do not use the PX50 70V or 100V taps with the QX200. The QX200 is a low-impedance amplifier and must not be connected directly to a 70V or 100V speaker line.

The rear AUX input accepts compatible line-level sources such as:
- Desktop or laptop computer audio output
- Smartphone or tablet audio output

A suitable RCA, 3.5mm, USB-C or device-specific audio adapter may be required.
Expandable Audio Options
The QX200 provides separate Zone 1 and Zone 2 line-level outputs. These outputs can feed compatible external equipment while the QX200 remains the main music source and zone-volume controller.
Add More Pendant Speakers
Add a compatible external power amplifier when additional speaker coverage is needed. Connect the selected QX200 zone line output to the external amplifier, then connect the added speakers to that amplifier using the correct speaker mode.
The external amplifier connection, speaker setting and final speaker load must be confirmed before installation. Do not add speakers to the existing QX200 outputs without checking the impedance.
Add a Powered Subwoofer
A compatible powered subwoofer can connect to a suitable QX200 zone line output to add deeper bass. The subwoofer must include its own amplifier and compatible line-level input, level and crossover controls.
Add an Optional Wi-Fi Streamer
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are already built into the QX200. An external streamer is optional when another app, streaming platform or permanently connected business music source is preferred.
Add FT4 Speaker Cable
Measure the full cable route from the amplifier to all four pendant speakers and allow extra cable for routing, suspension and final connections.
Expansion products and installation accessories are not included unless selected or purchased separately.
Easy Installation
- Select two pendant-speaker positions in each zone.
- Confirm that each ceiling structure can safely support the speaker and supplied hanging assembly.
- Attach each ceiling bracket using fasteners and anchors suitable for the ceiling material.
- Set every PX50 speaker to its 8-ohm low-impedance connection.
- Run properly rated speaker cable from each QX200 output to its assigned pendant speaker.
- Adjust the suspension cables so the four speakers hang at suitable and consistent heights.
- Connect the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth antennas, network and preferred audio source.
- Begin at a low volume and confirm that all four speakers operate correctly.
Use properly rated FT4 speaker cable when required for concealed Canadian commercial installations. Disconnect AC power before making speaker or expansion connections.
