Metal Back-Can Construction
A metal enclosure covers the rear of each speaker, transformer and internal wiring. A white metal grille provides a durable finished appearance below the ceiling.
The enclosed construction provides a more complete commercial ceiling-speaker assembly than an open-back design. The metal back can does not automatically mean the speaker is fire rated or plenum rated; confirm the project’s building-code requirements before installation.
70V and 100V Commercial Audio Compatibility
The built-in transformer allows all twelve AF206T speakers to operate from a properly selected 70V or 100V commercial amplifier.
Constant-voltage systems are practical when several speakers must be connected across longer cable runs. The speakers connect electrically in parallel, and the selected transformer tap of every speaker is added together to calculate the amplifier load.

A 60W amplifier provides suitable headroom for a 36W speaker load.

Parallel Speaker Wiring
The speakers connect electrically in parallel. The speaker cable may run from the amplifier to the first speaker and continue to the remaining speakers in a daisy-chain arrangement.
- Connect the amplifier COM terminal to each speaker’s black wire.
- Use the white wire for the lower transformer tap.
- Use the red wire for the higher transformer tap.
- Use only one positive tap wire on each speaker.
- Insulate every unused tap wire separately.
- Keep common and positive wiring consistent throughout the system.
Important Connection Warning
Connect the speakers only to a compatible 70V or 100V commercial amplifier output.
Do not connect the AF206T speakers directly to a conventional 4-ohm or 8-ohm amplifier output.
Do not mix 70V and 100V amplifier outputs on the same speaker line.
Confirm the total selected tap load before switching on the amplifier.
Switch off and disconnect the amplifier before installing speakers or changing any wiring connection.
Spring-Clip Ceiling Installation
Each AF206T installs into an approximately 175mm circular opening. Spring-loaded clips hold the speaker against the rear of the ceiling material after it is inserted into position.
Use the supplied templates to mark the openings. Check above the ceiling for electrical wiring, framing, plumbing, ductwork, sprinkler lines and other hidden obstructions before cutting.
Planning the Twelve-Speaker Layout
Speaker spacing depends on ceiling height, room shape, partitions, furniture, background noise and the required listening level.
- Distribute the speakers evenly across the occupied listening area.
- Avoid placing every speaker near one wall, doorway or checkout area.
- Allow for walls, shelving and fixtures that may block sound.
- Use closer spacing in noisy or divided commercial interiors.
- Keep speakers away from strong HVAC airflow where practical.
- Confirm that the ceiling can securely support each speaker.
