Pendant speakers suspend below exposed beams, ducts and structural ceilings, bringing the sound closer to customers, staff and guests. This helps improve clarity and coverage in spaces where recessed ceiling speakers are not practical.
The adjustable suspension height also allows the speakers to be positioned according to the ceiling height and listening area.

1 × TEXONIC MC2120 Dual-Channel Power Amplifier
A commercial Class-D power amplifier delivering two independent 120W channels. It supports 70V distributed speaker systems and compatible 8-ohm speakers, with balanced line inputs and built-in protection against overload, excessive temperature and short circuits.
8 × TEXONIC PX50 Pendant Speakers
Eight 5.25-inch two-way pendant speakers for clear commercial music and voice reproduction. Each speaker supports selectable 70V power taps, allowing the system volume and amplifier load to be adjusted for the installation.
Dual-Area Audio Layout
The MC2120 has two independent amplifier channels. The eight speakers can be divided into two groups, with four pendant speakers connected to each channel.
Channel 1: Four PX50 pendant speakers
Channel 2: Four PX50 pendant speakers
This layout can cover two separate business areas or two sections of one larger room. Each channel has its own input and level adjustment, allowing the installation to be matched to the required layout.
Even Sound Across Large Spaces
Using eight distributed speakers helps create more consistent sound than relying on a small number of speakers operating at high volume.
The speakers can be spaced across dining, shopping, workout or working areas to reduce loud spots near the speakers and quiet areas farther away.
Adjustable Speaker Tap Settings
The power tap of each PX50 speaker can be selected according to the sound level required in that part of the business.
- Lower tap settings are suitable for quiet dining, reception or office areas.
- Higher tap settings may be used in gyms, busy restaurants, warehouses or areas with more background noise.
- Different tap settings may be used within the same channel when properly calculated.
Always add together the tap wattage of the speakers connected to each amplifier channel. The load must be calculated separately for Channel 1 and Channel 2.
Recommended 70V Configuration
Connect four speakers in parallel to the 70V and COM terminals of each amplifier channel. Maintain consistent speaker-wire polarity throughout both speaker circuits.
Recommended starting setting: Set each PX50 speaker to 20W.
Four speakers at 20W create an 80W load on each 120W amplifier channel.
This leaves 40W of available capacity on each channel for reliable commercial operation.
The speaker taps may be reduced or combined differently according to the required volume, but the total load on either channel must remain safely below 120W.
Important Audio Source Requirement
The MC2120 is a power amplifier and does not include built-in Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB playback, microphone mixing or source selection.
A compatible line-level music streamer, mixer, preamplifier or audio processor is required to provide the audio signal. One source may feed both channels, or separate sources may be connected for independent playback.
Pendant Speaker Placement
Space the speakers evenly across the listening area and suspend them at a consistent height whenever possible. The final layout should be based on the room shape, ceiling height and expected background-noise level.
In very high spaces, lowering the pendant speakers closer to the listening area can improve clarity and reduce the need for excessive amplifier volume.
Important Connection Notice
This package is designed to use the MC2120 amplifier’s 70V speaker outputs.
Do not connect a speaker to the 70V and 8-ohm outputs at the same time. Select the correct PX50 transformer tap before operating the system, and never use the speaker’s 8-ohm setting while connected to the 70V terminals.
