The TEXONIC X4000 is a four-zone commercial matrix amplifier that delivers 120W of rated power to each zone. Its four selectable sources, built-in media player, microphone input, 70V speaker outputs and rack-mount design provide an organized audio solution for restaurants, retail stores, offices, gyms, clinics, schools and hospitality spaces.
True Four-Input, Four-Zone Matrix
The X4000 does more than divide one audio program between several speaker areas. Its matrix selector allows each zone to choose from four available audio sources independently.
Source 1 — Player: Bluetooth, FM radio, USB or Micro SD playback
Source 2 — MIC: Balanced microphone or line-level input
Source 3 — AUX 1: External stereo RCA audio source
Source 4 — AUX 2: Second external stereo RCA audio source
Each source may be assigned to one zone, several zones or all four zones. This allows the building to play one shared program everywhere or different audio in different areas.
Four Independently Powered Zones
Each zone has its own 120W rated amplifier section. Power is not shared between the four zones, so a heavier speaker load in one area does not use the rated capacity assigned to another zone.

The X4000 should not be described as one shared 480W amplifier. Each zone has an individual maximum rated output of 120W.

The matrix is useful when different parts of a business have different listening requirements.

Bluetooth Music Playback
The built-in Bluetooth receiver allows music to be played from a compatible smartphone, tablet or computer.
Bluetooth is part of the Player source. Any zone assigned to Player receives the same selected Bluetooth, FM, USB or Micro SD program.

Add a Wi-Fi or Network Streamer
The X4000 includes Bluetooth but does not contain a built-in Wi-Fi or Ethernet network streamer.
A compatible network audio streamer can be connected to AUX 1 or AUX 2. Each zone can then select that streamer through the matrix.
Two External AUX Sources
AUX 1 and AUX 2 use stereo RCA connections for compatible line-level audio equipment.
Possible sources include network streamers, computers, televisions, tuners, media players and external audio receivers. Each AUX source has its own front-panel level control before it is routed to the zones.
Balanced Microphone or Line Input
The balanced XLR connection can accept a compatible microphone or line-level source. A rear selector changes the input sensitivity between microphone and line operation.

Paging Operation
The microphone input can be routed to selected zones using the front matrix controls.
The current X4000 manual does not specify automatic microphone priority, voice-activated music ducking or telephone paging.
Install a compatible external paging controller or mixer when automatic priority, chime, telephone paging or advanced zone-selective paging is required.
Independent Volume and Three-Band Tone Control
Every zone has its own main volume control and separate high, midrange and low-frequency adjustment.
- High: ±9dB adjustment at 10kHz
- Mid: ±9dB adjustment at 1kHz
- Low: ±9dB adjustment at 100Hz
Begin with the tone controls in their centre positions and make small adjustments for the connected speakers and room acoustics. Excessive boost can reduce headroom and cause the amplifier to clip.
70V Distributed Speaker Outputs
Each zone provides its own 70V commercial speaker output. Compatible ceiling, wall-mount, pendant and paging speakers with 70V transformer taps can be connected in parallel within that zone.
Calculate the speaker load separately for each zone by adding the selected 70V tap wattage of every connected speaker. A lightly loaded zone does not increase the 120W limit of another zone.
Speaker Load and 20% Headroom Per Zone
Each zone has a 120W rated output. Maintaining approximately 20% unused capacity provides practical headroom for background music, paging and normal commercial operation.

The 384W combined recommendation is valid only when no individual zone exceeds approximately 96W of selected speaker taps.

This example keeps every zone below the recommended 96W tap load. Final tap selection depends on the speaker model, mounting height, spacing, room acoustics and required sound level.
Flexible Speaker Tap Selection
Speakers within the same zone do not need to use identical transformer tap settings. Select each tap according to the required volume at its location.
- Use lower taps in hallways, offices and quiet rooms.
- Use medium taps in retail, dining and reception areas.
- Use higher taps in gyms, warehouses or louder environments.
- Recalculate that zone’s total load whenever a tap changes.
4–16Ω Low-Impedance Speaker Operation
Each zone also provides a low-impedance speaker connection for a correctly designed 4 - 16Ω speaker load.
Confirm the final impedance, speaker power handling, wiring method and cable distance separately for every low-impedance zone.
Important Speaker Connection Notice
Each zone must use either its 70V output or its low-impedance output not both at the same time.
Do not connect a 100V speaker line to the X4000. This model provides 70V constant-voltage outputs only.
Confirm the correct zone terminals, COM connection, transformer taps, speaker impedance and wiring polarity before switching on the amplifier.
Zone Signal and Protection Indicators
- SIG: confirms that audio is present in the zone.
- CLIP: indicates excessive signal or output level.
- PROT: operates during start-up and may remain on when a zone enters protection mode.
If a CLIP or PROT indicator remains active, reduce the volume and inspect the input levels, speaker load, wiring and ventilation before continuing operation.
Professional 2U Rack-Mount Chassis
The X4000 fits a standard 19-inch equipment rack and occupies two rack spaces. Rack-mount hardware is included.
Rear mounting points provide additional support for a secure installation. Keep all ventilation openings clear and provide suitable airflow around the chassis.
