V-PS-2 Power Supply Required The Russound V-PS-2 60W power supply is sold separately. One V-PS-2 can power up to two V-KP-1 amplified keypads. Plan the power-supply location and wiring before installation.
Choosing Speakers for the V-KP-1
The V-KP-1 is designed to power a compatible pair of 4Ω or 8Ω passive speakers. For most home and multi-room installations, a pair of efficient 8-ohm in-ceiling or in-wall speakers is a practical match.
Speaker size and sound quality can be selected based on the room. Kitchens, bedrooms, offices and similar rooms commonly work well with 6.5-inch in-ceiling speakers, while larger rooms may benefit from larger or higher-sensitivity models.
Important: Use the speaker's 4Ω or 8Ω low-impedance connection. Do not connect the V-KP-1 directly to a 70V or 100V speaker transformer tap.

Before Ordering The V-KP-1 requires a Russound V-PS-2 power supply, sold separately, a suitable Wi-Fi network and compatible 4Ω or 8Ω passive speakers. Existing wiring may be reusable in retrofit installations, but cable type, wiring layout and condition should be confirmed before installation.
