Description
Compact Commercial and Residential Audio Amplifier
Russound AVA2.1 2.1-Channel Amplifier with HDMI ARC and Bluetooth
The Russound AVA2.1 is a compact Class-D amplifier for small commercial spaces, television audio and residential stereo systems. It can operate two 8-ohm speakers or four matching 8-ohm speakers, making it suitable for offices, retail stores, clinics, waiting areas, boardrooms, salons, showrooms and home TV rooms.
Connect a television through HDMI ARC, stream music through Bluetooth, or use the optical and RCA inputs for computers, media players and external audio streamers. Its compact design allows installation on a shelf, on a suitable wall or out of sight near a display.
Power: 25W × 2 at 8 ohms or 50W × 2 at 4 ohms
Speaker configurations: 2 × 8-ohm speakers or 4 × matching 8-ohm speakers
Audio inputs: HDMI ARC, Bluetooth 5.0, optical digital and stereo RCA
Recommended use: Small commercial and residential spaces
Small Commercial Audio for Approximately 800–1,200 sq. ft.
The AVA2.1 can provide background music, television sound and presentation audio in a relatively quiet, open commercial space of approximately 800–1,200 sq. ft. when connected to properly selected and positioned low-impedance speakers.
For wider and more even sound distribution, four matching 8-ohm speakers are recommended. Two speakers are better suited to a boardroom, television area, smaller office or focused listening area.
Actual coverage depends on speaker efficiency, room shape, ceiling height, speaker placement, ambient noise and required volume. The stated area is AVTECK application guidance and is not a manufacturer coverage guarantee.

- Do not connect a load below 4 ohms to either channel.
- The subwoofer output requires a powered subwoofer.
- The AVA2.1 does not include paging, a microphone input or independent audio zones.
- Bluetooth is built in. Wi-Fi streaming and AirPlay are not built in.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can the AVA2.1 operate four 8-ohm speakers?
Yes. Connect two matching 8-ohm speakers in parallel to the left channel and two matching 8-ohm speakers in parallel to the right channel. This creates a 4-ohm load on each channel.
How much power is available with two speakers?
With one 8-ohm speaker connected to each channel, the AVA2.1 is rated at up to 25 watts per channel.
How much power is available with four speakers?
With two matching 8-ohm speakers connected in parallel to each channel, the amplifier is rated at up to 50 watts per channel. The available channel power is shared between the two speakers.
Are four speakers better for an 800–1,200 sq. ft. space?
Four properly positioned speakers normally provide more even background-music coverage than two speakers. Performance depends on the speaker model, room shape, ceiling height and ambient noise.
Can commercial ceiling or wall speakers be used?
Yes, provided the speakers are operated in their 8-ohm low-impedance mode. Do not use their 70V or 100V transformer tap.
Can the television remote control the amplifier?
A compatible television can normally control amplifier power and volume through HDMI ARC when HDMI CEC is enabled.
Does the AVA2.1 include Wi-Fi or AirPlay?
No. A compatible external network audio streamer can be connected through the RCA or optical input when Wi-Fi streaming is required.
Can a paging microphone be connected?
The AVA2.1 does not have a direct paging or microphone input. Choose a commercial mixer amplifier when paging is required.
