The amplifier can operate in standard two-channel stereo, parallel-input or bridge-mono mode. This makes it suitable for powering two passive loudspeakers, duplicating one source across both amplifier channels or supplying higher output to one compatible 8-ohm loudspeaker.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Crown XLi 800 have Bluetooth?
No. It is a professional power amplifier. Connect a mixer, receiver, preamplifier or compatible audio source to its XLR or RCA inputs.
Can it power two speakers?
Yes. In stereo mode, each channel can power a compatible speaker load. Confirm the impedance and power rating of each loudspeaker before connection.
What does parallel mode do?
Parallel mode sends the same input signal to both amplifier channels while allowing the two channel-level controls and speaker outputs to remain separate.
Can the XLi 800 be bridged?
Yes. Bridge-mono mode provides 600W into one compatible 8Ω load. Follow Crown’s bridge-mode wiring instructions and do not use a load below 8Ω.
Can it operate a 70V commercial speaker system?
Not directly. The XLi 800 is a low-impedance power amplifier and does not provide a dedicated 70V or 100V output. Use a suitable external transformer or a purpose-built constant-voltage amplifier.
Does it include a crossover or DSP?
No. Use an external crossover, loudspeaker processor, mixer DSP or other signal processor when frequency management or system tuning is required.
