Description
Power background music and paging across six commercial areas with stronger 240W output, network streaming and convenient zone-level control.
The TEXONIC BX24N is a 240W Wi-Fi commercial mixer amplifier designed for medium to larger business audio systems. It combines six adjustable speaker zones, Wi-Fi and LAN streaming, Bluetooth, USB playback, microphone paging and flexible 70V/100V speaker connections in one rack-mount audio control centre.
Six-Zone Control for Multi-Area Businesses
The BX24N provides six speaker-zone outputs. Each zone has its own front-panel volume control, allowing staff to balance sound levels across rooms with different sizes, uses and background-noise levels.
A zone can be turned down or switched off without changing the volume in the remaining active areas.
| Zone | Example Business Area |
|---|---|
| Zone 1 | Main dining room, sales floor or public area |
| Zone 2 | Reception, entrance or checkout area |
| Zone 3 | Secondary seating room, corridor or waiting area |
| Zone 4 | Office, training room or activity area |
| Zone 5 | Staff room, service area or fitting rooms |
| Zone 6 | Stockroom, washrooms, hallway or additional room |
Important Zone Operation
All six zones receive the same selected music, microphone announcement and paging signal.
Each zone has separate volume control, but the BX24N does not provide six independent music streams.
Playing different music in different zones requires a true audio matrix, multiple streamers or separate zone amplifiers.
240W Total Shared Amplifier Power
The BX24N provides 240W RMS total output. This power is shared by every speaker connected across Zones 1 through 6.
Total amplifier output: 240W RMS
Number of speaker zones: Six
Power arrangement: 240W shared across all six zones—not 240W per zone
Suitable Commercial Applications
- Restaurants, cafés, bars and lounges
- Retail stores and showrooms
- Medical clinics and waiting areas
- Offices and professional buildings
- Schools and training facilities
- Gyms and recreation centres
- Hotels and hospitality spaces
- Community halls and places of worship
- Multi-area background-music and paging systems
Wi-Fi Streaming with App Control
The built-in network player allows music to be streamed through a compatible 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network using the 4Stream app on supported smartphones and tablets.
Wi-Fi playback is practical for daily business use because supported internet radio and music streams can continue without keeping the controlling device within normal Bluetooth range.
Compatible Network Playback Options
- 4Stream app control
- AirPlay-compatible playback
- DLNA-compatible network audio
- QPlay-compatible playback
- Locally stored music from compatible devices
- Supported internet radio and music services
Streaming-service availability may change according to the app version, service provider, subscription, device and region.
Wired LAN for Stable Commercial Streaming
The rear RJ45 network port provides a direct connection to a compatible router or network switch.
For permanent business installations, a hard-wired LAN connection is recommended where practical. It can provide more dependable streaming and app control in buildings with heavy Wi-Fi traffic, weak signal coverage or metal equipment racks.
Bluetooth for Fast Local Playback
Bluetooth allows staff to play music directly from a compatible smartphone, tablet or computer.
It is useful for temporary playlists, presentations, special events and backup playback when network streaming is not required.
USB Music Player
The front USB port supports music playback from a compatible USB 2.0 storage device.
- Play and pause control
- Previous and next track selection
- Single-track, folder, random and repeat playback
- Preset equalizer modes
- Track information on the front display
Supported music formats include common file types such as MP3, WMA, AAC, ALAC, FLAC, APE and WAV.
Three Microphone Inputs for Paging
Three microphone channels support customer announcements, staff paging, presentations and general business communication.
- Three XLR/6.35mm combination microphone inputs
- Balanced XLR microphone connection
- Unbalanced 6.35mm microphone connection
- Separate input-level adjustment
- Switchable 48V phantom power
- Microphone 1 priority over normal background audio
Automatic Paging Priority
The priority function allows an announcement from Microphone 1 to reduce the level of normal background audio.
Music returns after the page ends, helping staff make clear announcements without manually reducing the playback source first.
Chime and General Alert Tones
The built-in chime can be used before routine announcements to attract attention. A siren tone is also available for general facility alerts.
These functions are intended for normal commercial paging and notification use. The BX24N is not a certified fire-alarm or emergency voice-evacuation system.
AUX Input for External Music Sources
The stereo RCA AUX input accepts compatible line-level equipment such as a computer, television, media player, network receiver or tuner.
The left and right AUX signals are combined internally for the amplifier’s mono commercial speaker output.
AMP IN, PRE OUT and EMC Connections
- AMP IN: accepts a compatible external line-level signal for the power-amplifier section.
- PRE OUT: sends the mixed audio program to a compatible external amplifier, recorder or processor.
- EMC input: accepts a compatible priority signal that overrides normal music inputs.
70V and 100V Commercial Speaker Systems
The BX24N is designed for distributed ceiling, wall-mount, pendant and paging speakers equipped with compatible 70V or 100V transformer taps.
Select one system voltage and connect the speakers in parallel. Add together the selected wattage tap of every speaker across all six zones to calculate the complete amplifier load.
Flexible Speaker Tap Selection
Every speaker does not need to use the same transformer-tap setting. Choose the tap according to the volume required in each part of the building.
- Use lower taps in offices, corridors and quiet areas.
- Use medium taps for retail, dining and general customer spaces.
- Use higher taps where more output is required.
- Recalculate the total load after changing any tap setting.
Speaker Load and 20% Operating Reserve
The total of all selected 70V or 100V speaker taps must remain below the amplifier’s 240W rating. For background music, maintaining approximately 20% unused capacity provides practical operating headroom.
Rated amplifier output: 240W total
Recommended 20% reserve: 48W
Recommended maximum speaker-tap load: Approximately 192W across all six zones combined
Calculate the load using each speaker’s selected transformer tap—not its maximum power rating unless the maximum tap is actually selected.
Example Six-Zone Speaker Load
| Zone | Example Speakers | Zone Load |
|---|---|---|
| Zone 1 | 4 speakers at 10W | 40W |
| Zone 2 | 4 speakers at 10W | 40W |
| Zone 3 | 3 speakers at 10W | 30W |
| Zone 4 | 2 speakers at 10W | 20W |
| Zone 5 | 2 speakers at 10W | 20W |
| Zone 6 | 2 speakers at 10W | 20W |
| Total | 17 speakers | 170W combined load |
This example remains below the recommended 192W combined load. Final speaker quantity and tap selection depend on the speaker model, mounting height, spacing, room acoustics and required sound level.
4Ω and 8Ω Low-Impedance Output
The BX24N also supports a correctly designed 4-ohm or 8-ohm speaker system. Confirm the combined impedance, speaker power handling, cable length and wiring arrangement before using a low-impedance output.
Important Speaker Connection Notice
Use only one speaker output type for the complete installation: 70V, 100V, 4Ω or 8Ω.
Do not operate the constant-voltage and low-impedance outputs at the same time.
Confirm the system voltage, COM connection, speaker polarity, transformer taps and total load before switching on the amplifier.
