Description

Add clear background music and paging to restaurants, retail stores, offices and other commercial spaces with a compact wall-mounted speaker designed for flexible sound coverage.

The TEXONIC CS75 is a 5.25-inch two-way commercial wall speaker with selectable 70V and 100V transformer taps plus an 8-ohm operating mode. Its adjustable mounting bracket allows the speaker to be installed vertically or horizontally and aimed toward customer, seating, work or listening areas. It is a practical solution for indoor and protected covered-outdoor applications where ceiling speakers are not suitable.

TEXONIC CS75 Commercial Wall Speaker

The CS75 combines a compact ABS enclosure, metal grille, two-way driver system, built-in commercial audio transformer and adjustable stainless-steel bracket in one surface-mount speaker.

It is designed for commercial background music, paging and general voice announcements in spaces where cutting ceiling openings is not practical or where directional wall-mounted sound is preferred.

Brand: TEXONIC

Model: CS75

Speaker type: 5.25-inch two-way commercial wall speaker

System compatibility: 70V, 100V or 8Ω

Selling unit: One speaker with mounting bracket

Two-Way Sound for Music and Paging

A 5-inch driver reproduces lower and middle frequencies while a separate 1-inch dome tweeter handles higher-frequency detail.

The two-way design provides more balanced music reproduction and clearer voice detail than a basic single-cone paging speaker. It is suitable for businesses that use the same speaker system for everyday background music and occasional announcements.

Clear Commercial Background Music

The CS75 has a published frequency response of 60Hz–20kHz at -10dB, supporting vocals, instruments, paging and general business audio.

It is well suited to comfortable background music and clear voice reproduction. For deep bass, high-volume foreground music or demanding entertainment applications, consider adding a commercial subwoofer or selecting a larger high-output speaker system.

Wide 120° Sound Coverage

The published 120-degree coverage helps distribute music and speech across a broad listening area from each wall or open-ceiling location.

The adjustable bracket also allows each speaker to be aimed toward customer areas, tables, reception desks, hallways, workspaces or other occupied sections of the room.

Recommended Commercial Applications

Business TypeTypical Use
Restaurant or Café Dining-room music, patio audio and staff announcements
Retail Store or Showroom Customer-facing music, paging and promotional messages
Office or Reception Area Background music, general paging and presentation audio
Hotel or Hospitality Space Lobby, lounge, corridor, meeting-room and breakfast-area audio
Salon, Spa or Clinic Comfortable ambient music and clear general announcements
School or Training Facility Classroom audio, program sound and voice paging
Open-Ceiling Business Surface-mounted audio where recessed speakers are impractical

70V and 100V Distributed Audio Compatibility

The transformer built into the CS75 allows multiple speakers to connect to a compatible 70V or 100V commercial amplifier.

Constant-voltage systems are useful when several speakers must operate over longer cable runs. The speakers connect electrically in parallel, and the selected transformer taps are added together to calculate the total amplifier load.

Selectable Transformer Taps

Speaker-Line VoltageAvailable Tap Settings
70V 1.9W / 3.75W / 7.5W / 15W / 30W
100V 3.75W / 7.5W / 15W / 30W
Low Impedance 8Ω mode

Select the tap value that matches the amplifier’s speaker-line voltage.

Do not use the 1.9W setting with a 100V amplifier. The lowest published tap at 100V is 3.75W.

Choosing the Right Tap Setting

Tap RangeGeneral Application
1.9W–3.75W Quiet offices, hallways and low-level ambient sound
7.5W General office, retail and hospitality background music
15W Restaurants, showrooms and areas with moderate background noise
30W Larger or noisier areas requiring stronger speaker output

These are general planning examples. Final tap selection depends on speaker quantity, room dimensions, mounting height, background noise, listening distance and the required sound level.

Speaker Load and Amplifier Examples

Add the transformer tap of every speaker connected to the same commercial amplifier. Maintain practical reserve capacity rather than loading the amplifier to its full rated output.

Speaker ConfigurationTotal LoadPractical Amplifier Size
3 speakers at 15W 45W 60W or higher
4 speakers at 15W 60W 120W or higher
6 speakers at 15W 90W 120W or higher
8 speakers at 15W 120W 240W or higher
4 speakers at 30W 120W 240W or higher
8 speakers at 30W 240W 350W or higher

Example: Six speakers set to 15W create a total load of 90W.

A 120W commercial amplifier allows 30W of unused capacity for normal operating reserve.

Different Tap Settings in One System

CS75 speakers connected to the same 70V or 100V line can use different transformer taps.

For example, speakers in a quiet hallway may use 3.75W while speakers in a busy customer area use 15W. Add every selected tap separately when calculating the final amplifier load.

8Ω Low-Impedance Operation

The rear selector also provides an 8-ohm operating position for use with a compatible low-impedance amplifier.

The speaker is rated for up to 80W in 8Ω mode. One speaker presents an 8-ohm nominal load. Two speakers connected in parallel create a 4-ohm load, which should be used only with an amplifier that supports 4Ω operation.

Never connect the speaker to a 70V or 100V output while the selector is set to 8Ω. Low-impedance and constant-voltage calculations are different and must not be mixed.

Parallel and Daisy-Chain Wiring

In a 70V or 100V system, multiple speakers connect electrically in parallel. The cable may physically run from the amplifier to the first speaker and continue to the remaining speakers.

  • Connect every speaker to the same 70V or 100V speaker line.
  • Keep positive and common polarity consistent throughout the run.
  • Select the correct transformer tap on every speaker.
  • Add all selected tap values when calculating the total load.
  • Use speaker cable approved for the building and installation area.
  • Switch off the amplifier before wiring or changing tap settings.

Important Connection Warning

Select the correct 70V, 100V or 8Ω operating mode before switching on the amplifier.

Do not connect a speaker set for 70V operation to a 100V output.

Do not connect a speaker set for 8Ω operation to a constant-voltage output.

Do not connect 70V, 100V and low-impedance outputs to the same speaker line.

Power down and disconnect the amplifier before wiring speakers or changing transformer settings.

Flexible Wall and Open-Ceiling Installation

The included U-shaped bracket allows the CS75 to be mounted on a wall, column or suitable open-ceiling structure.

The enclosure may be installed vertically or horizontally and then angled toward the intended listening area. This provides more control over sound direction than a fixed flush-mounted ceiling speaker.

Indoor and Protected Covered-Outdoor Use

The CS75 is suitable for indoor installations and protected covered-outdoor areas such as roofed patios or entrances where the speaker is sheltered from direct weather exposure.

The published specifications do not list an IP weather rating. Do not install the speaker where it will be directly exposed to rain, snow, water spray, standing moisture or severe weather.

Durable Commercial Construction

  • Durable ABS speaker enclosure
  • Protective metal front grille
  • Stainless-steel U-shaped mounting bracket
  • Rear transformer-tap selector
  • Horizontal or vertical mounting
  • Adjustable listening angle

Installation Planning

  • Confirm that the wall or structure can support the 2.3kg speaker and bracket.
  • Use screws, bolts or anchors rated for the mounting surface.
  • Check for electrical wiring, plumbing and HVAC components before drilling.
  • Aim speakers toward occupied areas rather than reflective walls or glass.
  • Distribute multiple speakers evenly instead of placing them in one area.
  • Follow applicable building, electrical and installation requirements.

Surface-specific screws, bolts and wall anchors are not included. Select mounting hardware according to the wall material, structure and installation requirements.

Great value 70v speakers in Canada

Bought 1 of these initially to test before getting 7 more for a small retail store. The value seemed to good to be true, it was a brand I hadn't heard of so I just needed the specs to check out. Tested it against a known home theatre bookshelf speaker of similar specs and was satisfied. Would highly recommend if you need speaker quantity to cover more space.
