Description

Manage music and paging in two business areas from one compact commercial streaming amplifier.

The TEXONIC TX60Z combines a 60W commercial mixer amplifier with two independently adjustable speaker zones, Wi-Fi streaming, Bluetooth, FM radio, USB/SD playback and microphone paging. It is designed for smaller businesses that need one shared audio program at different volume levels in two areas.

Two Areas with Separate Volume Control

Zone 1 and Zone 2 have separate front-panel volume controls, allowing staff to balance the sound level between two sections of the business.

Zone 1: Main customer, dining, retail, waiting or activity area

Zone 2: Entrance, counter, hallway, office, reception or secondary area

Each zone can be set to a different volume level without installing separate wall-mounted volume controls.

Important Two-Zone Information

Zone 1 and Zone 2 receive the same selected music, microphone announcement and paging signal.

The zone controls adjust volume independently, but the amplifier does not provide a separate music source for each zone.

Different music in each area requires a true multi-source matrix amplifier or separate streaming amplifiers.

Practical Business Applications

BusinessZone 1Zone 2
Restaurant or Café Dining or seating area Counter or service area
Retail Store Main sales floor Entrance or checkout area
Medical Clinic Waiting room Hallway or treatment area
Office Reception or lobby Workspace or staff area
Fitness Studio Main exercise area Reception or change area

Wi-Fi Streaming for Daily Background Music

The built-in network player supports music streaming through a compatible LAN or Wi-Fi connection using the 4Stream app.

Wi-Fi streaming is useful for businesses that play music throughout the day because the controlling device does not need to remain within normal Bluetooth range of the amplifier.

Bluetooth for Quick Local Playback

Bluetooth provides a quick connection for compatible phones, tablets and computers. It is practical for temporary playlists, presentations or times when network streaming is not required.

Built-In Music Source Options

  • Wi-Fi and LAN network streaming
  • Bluetooth wireless audio
  • Built-in FM radio tuner
  • USB MP3 playback
  • SD card MP3 playback
  • External line-level audio sources

The front LCD display and supplied remote control provide convenient operation of the built-in media functions.

Three Microphone Inputs

The TX60Z supports microphone paging, customer announcements, staff communication and general public-address applications.

  • MIC 1 balanced XLR input
  • Phantom power support for compatible MIC 1 equipment
  • MIC 1 VOX paging priority
  • MIC 2 and MIC 3 Phoenix-style connections
  • MIC 2 and MIC 3 microphone/line input switching
  • Individual front-panel input-level controls

VOX Paging Priority

When the MIC 1 VOX function is enabled, speaking into the connected paging microphone automatically reduces the background-music level.

Normal music volume returns after the announcement ends, helping staff make clear messages without manually lowering the music source first.

Telephone Paging and Music on Hold

A dedicated telephone paging input allows connection to compatible business telephone or communication equipment.

The Music on Hold output can send background audio to compatible telephone equipment. Telephone-system compatibility and wiring should be confirmed before installation.

Four Line Inputs for External Sources

External audio sources may include a computer, television, network player, tuner, media player or other compatible line-level device.

The mixed program is sent to both speaker zones, while each zone keeps its own front-panel volume setting.

Line Output for System Expansion

The line-level output can send the mixed audio program to a compatible external power amplifier, recorder or audio processor when the system requires additional amplifier capacity.

60W Shared Across Both Zones

The amplifier provides 60W RMS total—not 60W for each zone.

The speakers connected to Zone 1 and Zone 2 share the amplifier’s total available output power. Calculate the complete speaker load across both zones before operating the system.

70V and 100V Commercial Speakers

The constant-voltage outputs are suitable for compatible commercial ceiling, wall, pendant and paging speakers equipped with transformer taps.

Select either a 70V or 100V speaker system and use the matching tap on every connected speaker. Add together the selected tap wattage of all speakers connected to both zones.

Speaker Load and Recommended Headroom

Maintaining approximately 20% unused amplifier capacity provides practical operating headroom for a commercial background-music and paging system.

Rated amplifier output: 60W total

Recommended 20% reserve: 12W

Recommended maximum speaker-tap load: Approximately 48W across Zone 1 and Zone 2 combined

Example Two-Zone Speaker Loads

ZoneExampleLoad
Zone 1 4 speakers at 5W 20W
Zone 2 4 speakers at 5W 20W
Combined 8 speakers total 40W

Speaker quantities and tap settings depend on the speaker model, room size, ceiling height, spacing and required sound level.

Flexible Speaker Tap Settings

Each transformer-equipped speaker can use a tap setting suited to its location. The tap settings do not need to be identical in both zones.

  • Use lower taps in quiet offices and hallways.
  • Use medium taps in dining, retail and waiting areas.
  • Use higher taps only where more output is required.
  • Recalculate the combined load after changing any tap.

Low-Impedance Speaker Support

The TX60Z also supports properly designed 4Ω, 8Ω or 16Ω speaker systems. Confirm the final impedance, speaker quantity, wiring method and power handling before using a low-impedance output.

Important Speaker Connection Notice

Use only one speaker output type for the complete installation: 70V, 100V or a compatible low-impedance output.

Do not combine 70V, 100V and low-impedance speaker wiring on the amplifier at the same time.

Confirm speaker polarity, transformer taps, system voltage and total load before switching on the amplifier.

Compact Desktop Installation

The compact chassis is designed for desktop, shelf or properly ventilated equipment-cabinet installation.

Keep ventilation openings clear and avoid installing the amplifier directly beside equipment that produces excessive heat.

24V DC Power Supply

The amplifier operates from a 24V DC power supply with a compatible 100–240V AC input, making it suitable for standard Canadian commercial electrical installations.

Built-In Protection

  • Short-circuit protection
  • Amplifier-overload protection
  • Thermal protection
  • Output-clipping protection
  • Front-panel operating indicators
